After a teaser campaign at MWC in February, the first images leaked back in the end of the month and it being officially announced (yet unnamed) in the beginning of this month, the LG Secret is now official. This is the name of the third Black Label series phone, which was known as KF750 until know.
LG advertises it as the slimmest 5-megapixel phone on the market (at 11.8mm / 0.46”) and touts it for the built-quality and materials used, including carbon fiber and tempered glass. Instead of standard hardware or (capacitive) touch keys, it has Neon Touch Navigation area, similar to the one of the KF510.
KF510 touch navigation areaThe main QVGA display above it is also touch sensitive, but is using a new user interface and not the one known from Viewty and KF700. Judging by the dedicated Secret site, it is supposed to be used only for some applications (such as music player, gallery, documents) instead of as main navigation method. The Secret won't be rival of the "all-touch" phones, but will give just another idea of touch-phone, similar to what the KF600 did.
The new Secret will stress not only on the hardware (looks), but also on the features. Its camera will be capable of 120fps video recording and it will play DivX files, just as the Viewty. Photo and video editing applications will be included as well. The Secret will also be able to open Microsoft Office files, and also access Google, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube, coming with a Google Package. It will also be preloaded with “motion games”, which will be controlled by accelerometer sensor (you tilt or rotate the phone to control it). Sensors will also take control of the screen orientation (portrait or landscape) and its brightness, depending on the environment.
LG Secret begins its launch in Europe, which will be followed by events in Asia, S. America and the rest of the world.
